EKOL CRYSTAL 12kW multi-fuel ecodesign 2022 defra approved stove

Ekol's Crystal 12kW stove is one of the best value 12kW stoves available.

The Crystal range is all cast iron, made the way stoves have been made for decades maybe even centuries. It has the advantage that they hold their heat longer with more mass than a steel stove, it also accounts for the stove's traditional styling. The Crystal range have an excellent air wash, riddling grate and three air controls. They are natively multi-fuel.

We've fitted numerous Crystal 12 stoves over the years but the one which seems to attract most attention is upstairs on the smoking terrace at Mrs Fitzherberts pub near the Theatre Royal in Brighton. Like its sister stove the Ekol Clarity 12 it can in exceptional circumstance be operated with a 5" liner.

The Stove Industry Alliance believes that an ecodesign stove such as the Crystal will require about 5 logs to produce 4kWh of heat over a 5 hour period.
