EKOL CRYSTAL 5kW multi-fuel ecodesign 2022 defra approved stove

Like a classic car with a modern engine the Ekol Crystal 5 is a stove that looks traditional but looks can be deceptive. It is clean, very clean indeed. It is passed for defra and ecodesign 2022 with room to spare and an efficiency of over 80%.  All this doesn't usually cost so little.

The Crystal range is all cast iron, made the way stoves have been made for decades maybe even centuries. It has the advantage that they hold their heat longer with more mass than a steel stove, it also accounts for the stove's traditional styling. The Crystal range have an excellent air wash, riddling grate and three air controls. They are natively multi-fuel.

The Stove Industry Alliance believes that an ecodesign stove such as the Crystal will require about 5 logs to produce 4kWh of heat over a 5 hour period.
